BASE BUDDIES
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A BASE BUDDY..
A judgment-free space built by military spouses, for military spouses
Real friendships with people who actually understand this lifestyle
Support through every season — PCS moves, deployments, reintegration, and everything in between
Honest conversations, real stories, and shared experiences
A community that makes you feel seen, heard, and less alone
Opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow together
A place where your story matters
More than a platform- a support system
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Ley Wright! the founder of Base Buddies.
I created Base Buddies because I know what it feels like to navigate military life without a handbook. The constant change, the long goodbyes, the quiet strength it takes to keep going and the moments when you wish someone else just got it.
Base Buddies started as a simple idea: create a space where military spouses could feel seen, supported, and connected. What began as a podcast quickly became something bigger a growing community built on honesty, friendship, and shared experiences.
I believe our stories matter. I believe connection can change everything. And I believe military spouses deserve more than just being strong in silence we deserve community, laughter, and real support.
Through Base Buddies, my goal is to make sure no one feels like they’re doing this life alone.
